Don't you just love when ancient dilemma in circular reasoning manifest themselves in toy form?! This GENIUS idea comes from none other Anna of the Mochimochi Blog. I don't usually go in for cute knitted toys - I think they're cute and all, but I'd rather be knitting some socks - but imagine this scene:
Little niece of nephew looks up from playing with chicken or egg toy, knit by Aunt Kellie.
Niece/nephew: Aunt Kellie, do you agree with Aristotle's conclusions regarding the origins of the chicken and the egg. I'm having trouble figuring out the actuality and potentiality of it all. It's too bad Plato's relatively simple world of ideas just doesn't hold any water.
Sage Aunt Kellie: Here, you can borrow my copy of The Metaphysics. (The Sachs translation, of course.)
You're never too young to form opinions on Ancient Greek philosophers and translations. Especially when they can be backed up by super cute toys!
