So do you want to see some knitting from me? Let me tell you, it's been sparse lately. I started a new sweater though, and that seems to have reignited my knitting mojo. It's the Phyllo Yoked Pullover from Knitting Nature.
Apparently, not blogging for two months renders me incapable of taking a non-blurry pictures. Again, baby steps my friends. I'm using some discontinued Debbie Bliss Wool/Cotton that I think I purchased off of Elann. I bought it at least two years ago in a vast overestimation of my knitting speed and ability to focus, and it has been sitting in my stash all this time. I've also been waiting for the right project for it. It's a little thinner than Calmer, but I think it's going to end up making a pretty similar fabric. The pattern, which calls for Calmer, suggests a US7 needle, and I got gauge with US6, so I'm not too far off. I'm also changing the body of the sweater to be knit in the round because this is my "I don't want to think, I just want to knit" sweater. So far I've got about 5 or 6 inches completed and I'm loving every minute of it.I'm off now to get 10" of my hair chopped off. I've been waiting to cut my hair as a result of a mixture of ambivalence about styles and because I wanted it long enough to donate. Now is the time my friends. Spring has sprung, the sun is out, and I don't want all this hair weighing me down.
