First up, my Socktoberfest Mystery Socks. I didn't finish these anywhere near October, but they have been done for awhile.
The main thing I love about these socks is the yarn - Yarn Botanika Merino. Mmmm. Sadly, I don't think this particular kind of Yarn Botanica is available anymore. I bought it long ago, when One Planet Yarn and Fiber first opened its virtual doors and its been waiting for the perfect project ever since.
Right now I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of more yarn from Knit Picks so that I can finish my Welt and Rib pullover. As usual, I've been experiencing waves of doubt when knitting this sweater. Will it be too small? Or too big? Who knows. I'm just going to keep working on it and wear it anyway. I'm pretty sure its going to be cozy and warm, and that's all I really need at this point. I'm using KP Swish DK, which is pretty nice for a budget merino. It's annoying that every skein has had a least one knot in it though.
So that's the down and dirty rundown of what I've been up to. I wish I had some amazing house projects to show you, but we haven't really done much of anything on that front. This has been a bit of a lost winter around here I'm afraid. I did have a lovely Valentine's Day at least. Ben and I stayed home and cooked up a storm. Salad with goat cheese and apples, white bean soup, freshly baked bread, and lemon bundt cake....mmmm... it was all so delicious. Ben also got me the ultimate nerdy librarian gift: library scented perfume.
It's perfect.
